[mood] content [music] "Never Letting Go" -Rebecca St. James

This journal is a personal one for friends only. If you are all ready on my friends list, you don't have to worry about anything, you're not getting cut! But you can comment with a funny remark if you want because I could use the laughter this week for sure, LOL ;) Anyway, please take a little time to see if you would like to get to know me better before leaving a comment here to be added to my friends list. Thank you and God bless! =)

[mood] mellow [music] "Love of My Life" -Michael W. Smith w/Jim Brickman on piano
So, I am doing a bit better today after my random out of the blue emo-ness last night. My contacts felt like they had cotton all over them this morning but I do feel better after a lot of tears last night. I know it was more than just the website stuff but that kind of tipped it over the edge I guess. I took today as a VERY lazy day and I think it helped me a lot. I had too much overwhelming my head and heart last night and hopefully, I can get my emotions back under control at some point. Its not perfect today but I am not crying all over the keyboard tonight.
Anyway, I was supposed to go get grandpa's paper and lottery stuff around 10 AM today and after waking up at 9 AM (which I wasn't happy about since I went to bed at like 3 AM and had a hard time sleeping as well), I must have turned my alarm off instead of hit snooze so I overslept and he was calling me all morning. Whoops. Thank goodness the store wasn't out of papers yet and I was able to get his lottery stuff too (he likes the scratch offs. He wants to win the lottery so he can buy me a car, LOL). After I did all that, I came online for a bit to surf around while I ate lunch but in reality, I just wanted to go back to sleep so I did that after finishing lunch. I popped in my Best of Friends Vol. 2 tape and fell asleep to Chandler being let out of the box. After a while, I woke up again and figured I would see what's on regular TV and ended up watching some random track and field which was cool. I got up not long after that to make dinner (yeah, I 'slept' for about three hours, LOL) and do the dishes. I haven't eaten much all day but I've not really been that hungry either. Not sure what that's all about but hey, I'm not a small girl so me not eating much isn't a bad thing.
Yeah, anyway, I've been off and on the computer ever since finishing the dishes because I need to do some computer stuff for church, but of course, I've procrastinated on it all day so its sitting here on the laptop next to me and I am not working on it at all. I've spent more time playing with Windows Media Player and trying to burn a CD that is NOT working for some reason than working on the sermon stuff. It keeps telling me the alignment isn't right which is really confusing to me. I am still really confused by that (I've worked with it for like a half hour now!) but I put it aside for now to see if I can find some answers online. I'll go back to it later on though I'm sure. I need to get the church stuff done but I have absolutely NO motivation to do that at all. Its easier with the new program (I all ready have the songs all done, they are all in there all ready, so all I have to do is select them and make sure they are in the right order) but I've not done anything with the sermon yet. I might just throw the verses up there that he's going to focus on and leave it at that. I am not sure why I don't like doing this anymore. I think its just from too many years of not having help that when I get those nice little breaks every other month or so, I don't wanna go back to all the hassle and problems that we've had for a few months now. Its too much stress and I would rather just go to church than deal with it most weekends. That's definitely not good. One of my team members had to quit recently too which is a bit stressful for me since I will now have to pick up his months (yay for more work again, only not) but he did give me the name of someone else interested in doing it so I need to call her. Sigh. I am not a natural born leader so I really don't know what the heck I am doing in leadership at my church. =(
OK, I need to stop putting it off and just get the work done. Whenever I get that done, I will try to be around AIM a bit tonight. I could use the company.
Bye for Now, Hez

Thanx to Flo for helping keep me unbored at work today. You rock girl. Spam is good, LOL =)
Thanx to Mel for making videos from 4CC available for crazy fans like me to download and watch over and over again. I finally have Amanda & Mark's 4CC LP on video and its AWESOME!! Oh gosh, proud mom moment for how great they did over there! I think I adore them even more, if that's possible, LOL <33333
I have now burned my first ever skating videos CD. Give it up for my SLOW dial up internet and computer actually doing something GOOD tonight!! LOL ;)
Work today was horrible. Ever single verification for insurance took over twenty minutes because no one at these insurance companies seemed to know how to do their job. I was on the phone ALL DAY. Talk about a wasted day. I was grumpy all day because no one could help me! And there were tons of tooly people calling with random stuff too all day. I NEED A NEW JOB. =0
I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow after work so I really need to remember to print off the directions to get to the house before I leave work. *makes mental note* =)
Gotta get to bed, I am beat. Night all.

[mood] cold [music] "Remember When It Rained" -Josh Groban
Good grief, what an off day from work. I was so excited about sleeping in today and having the entire house to myself and mom had to go and ruin that for me. For one, she ended up taking today off work. Why? She just didn't feel like going to work. Umm, tell me how that works again!? Apparently she can work Saturday and make it up but geesh, that sucked the life out of my entire off day. Not that I don't love my mom but having her around bugging me all day was not the way I wanted to spend my only relaxing day of the week off work.
Then, the computer troubles began, again. I went to drop off the computer from the store and they couldn't find the modem either, even though it was there a week ago. So they tell me to leave it there and come back in about an hour to pick it up. Mind you, it snowed all day long today so I hated having to go out in the weather anyway, but I was like fine and went home to fill mom in on the computer. That was around 2 PM so I get on the ghetto one we still have at home (thank goodness or I would have been 'net-less for the last few days!) and make some icons which always makes me feel good (especially when they are of Hottie Mark although I've not uploaded them yet). Then I go back around 3:20 PM (I gave them over an hour to get this thing working) and its STILL not reading the modem and they've tried everything. It will read the high speed one but not the dial up one (we are waiting to do the high speed thing til we get the computer up and running which seems like it was a smart thing to do). I am like, GEESH, and wondering if I will have to come back again to pick it up. They apologized for making me wait so long and I made polite small talk with the one guy but inside I am just like, 'This is SOOO not how I wanted to spend my day off work'. Finally, they figured out that it was a software problem and they decided to upgrade the computer to XP so that it would read the modem right. I finally called mom and told her what was going on and we decided to just leave the thing there and she would pick it up tomorrow after work. I think it was at this point that I did say that I had better things I wanted to be doing than waiting around for computer on my one off day from work, nicely of course but seething inside. So I come home again and just roll my eyes about the whole thing. Mom wasn't too happy either but hey, that's what you get when you go with a place like that for your new computer. Yeah, that was a fun afternoon, NOT. *rolleyes*
Bible study went relatively well tonight although I was exhausted twenty minutes into the study. The middle schoolers just have way too much energy and after today, I just didn't have the patience or the tolerance for it. They finally did settle down and we got some stuff done but after the study ended, they were right back to horsing around and being loud. I love those girls to bits but its a bit like spending an evening with Dawn's kindergartners at times when they just won't pay attention!! =0
The new Amazing Race started tonight and I all ready don't care for Rob or Amber. Why are they on this show anyway?! They all ready have a million dollars, let their fifteen minutes DIE all ready. They were pretty annoying. I do have a few teams that made an impression early on. I liked the mom and son (THEY ARE FROM CINCY!!!!!!!!!), the older couple was pretty cool, the one team reminds me of a combo of Victoria/Jonathan and Lori/Bolo from the last Race (and I don't think that's a good thing), and I also liked the black couple (and how sweet are they that they want to use the money to have a baby. AWW!). Most of these teams seem pretty easy to distinguish between which is a very good thing since I had the hardest time doing that in the last race. These teams have a lot more personality. This should be quite the race and I can't wait to see where it goes next! Peru was GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! =)
I think I am out of things to ramble about tonight so I am going to go now. I hope everyone is having a great week. I still need to write my angry letter to ESPN......hmmmmm. ;)
Hugs, Hez =)
P.S. Hi, its March now, PLEASE stop with the snowing Cincy!!!!! *faints* =0

[mood] aggravated [music] "In Christ Alone" -I have NO clue who is singing this song!
Shock of shockers, TWO updates from me in one day, sort of (yes, I know its after midnight now so its technically Wednesday, LOL). I'll wait a minute while you all compose yourselves and get ready for this second update from me. ;)
Yeah, anyway......so we've had some issues with the new computer, not good ones either. Mom was playing on it tonight, trying to get it to upload TurboTax and it would NOT upload it at all. She was not happy. When I left for Bible study, she was on the net trying to find out what to do via the TurboTax website. When I got home I found out that not only did the thing not upload TT, it didn't upload Microsoft Office either. She is not amused and neither am I because it seems like we can't get the thing to do anything. Mom and I are not stupid people but this computer is not doing what its supposed to do for us at all and we have NO idea what's wrong. She is about thisclose to taking it back and figuring something else out. If I disappear randomly from here for a few days, know that I've either had a relapse of my random illness, or we've kicked this thing to the curb and are waiting on a different computer. UGH. I really hate technology sometimes. =0
I had a great time at Bible study tonight. The high schoolers are always fun to hang out with and we even got a lot of the study in too (which sometimes doesn't happen with these girls because they get talking and we just can't get them back on topic). No mice have been spotted in a few weeks too which is a VERY good thing. =)
Hmmm, nothing else to update about so I am going to run off and check a few more things online before folding my laundry and heading to bed. Woo, exciting life I lead, LOL ;)

[mood] busy [music] Oprah is granting dreams....where's my Mark Ladwig, Oprah?!
So I am loving having computer access at home again and YAY for not having the ghetto browser anymore!! I had way too much fun last night visiting all the sites that I couldn't get to at home for the longest time. I also downloaded Trillian which I ADORE for all the millions of smileys (even though Nicole couldn't see any of them, LOL) and for the fact that I can use my Yahoo information again. Good times last night.....way too early to get up today after I spent like four hours on the computer last night! =0
Anyway, there are a few things I can't figure out and maybe you guys can help me. For one, the pictures (icons here, random pictures on other websites) don't look right. It looks like there should be better resolution but I don't know how to fix it. They are all kind of messed up. I wonder if we need to get a new monitor (which we didn't get yet). I have NO clue how to fix that and its really annoying to see things all messed up. The other thing I have to figure out is how certain websites don't quite work right yet. For instance, the SOI site works and loads fine on the computer but the dropdown windows that come when you run the curser over like Tour or Cast or whatever at the top, aren't there at all. It doesn't work. I wondered if it had something to do with Java but I fixed that (I think, LOL) last night and its still not working right. Its so befuddling. I know there are some things that we don't have on here yet that are probably the problem but I have NO clue what they are or how to get them. Yeah, I'm a tool. Something good for today though is that I can comment to you guys here again! Yeah, last night, I had no buttons to use to comment to you guys!! I SWEAR they just weren't there! Way weird. On the whole though, life is good in Hez's online world. =)
OK, I have nothing else to update about and I do actually have some things I need to get done before Bible study later tonight so I am going to close this really random update and get those done. Hope you guys are all doing great and have a super week!! *HUGS* all around!! =)
Love, Hez =)
BTW-I left this update open with the hope that I could get some computer help but I will probably be going Friends Only VERY soon so if you want to be added to my Friends list, comment here so you can continue to see my updates. I will probably do that this weekend. =)

[mood] hopeful [music] "Blessed Be Your Name" -Tree63
So today I did something smart/stupid at work. I volunteered for extra hours at work this week. Ugh, why did I do that?! Now my work week will consist of working ten hours today (thank goodness that's done now), eight hours tomorrow, ten hours on Wednesday, six hours on Thursday, and seven hours on Friday. If you can't do the math, that's 41 hours this week (which does put me into overtime because of the holiday pay we get for Christmas and New Years, I like that part a lot I must say) which normally isn't that big of a deal but hi, everyone else who works gets some sort of vacation the week between Christmas and New Years and I am freaking working all week long when we are CRAZY busy. I am going to be out of my mind by Wednesday. =0 Today we scheduled over 30 random appts for this week and next and the phone was driving me up the wall. It wouldn't stop ringing! Michelle and I couldn't get anything done at all. It took us all day to verify insurances for tomorrow and Wednesday between all the appts today and all the phone calls. I know the week will just get worse too because of all the tools who've waited til now to use their Flex spending accounts and HAVE to get in before 2005. The only good thing about this week is the end of it where we hopefully hit goal (That's my hotel money!!! And some seriously answered prayers for sure), I've worked enough overtime for a really nice paycheck right before Nats, and I am hopefully going out of town for New Years again. I didn't go last year because Nats was like, two days after New Years but this year, I have a week in between so I am hopefully going up to my friend Katie's house for a rocking New Years Eve party. I gotta make sure to watch the jello shots this year though, I had a few too many of those bad boys two years ago, LOL ;) So, thinking about the end of the week keeps me motivated to work hard and do everything I can for us to hit that goal. I KNOW we can do it. =)
Not much else going on tonight. I am going to surf around for a bit before heading to bed. Gotta love having to get to bed a bit earlier due to the whole volunteering to work earlier tomorrow thing. Blah!! Think of the end Hez, think of the end.....LOL =)
Peace Out, Hez =)
BTW-Hi, I leave for Nats a week from Saturday. How rocktastique is that?!?!? *bounces* =)

[mood] relieved [music] "Since U Been Gone" -Kelly Clarkson
Um, hi, we have THUNDERSNOW going on in Cincy right now!! What the heck!? I have NEVER heard of that before but apparently they are having it around my city. The weather guy said its something that happens when you have an atmosphere as unstable as ours is right now. Weird. This weather is just awful, there are actually still people on the roads trying to drive somewhere (tools, the roads are the pits! Why are you still out?!), and I am SO glad I am off work tomorrow! I don't wanna go anywhere. We are supposed to get anywhere from 12-18 inches of snow by tomorrow afternoon!!!!!!!!!!! =0 And the temp is dropping too. Its all slick, icy, and very dangerous outside. And I know that probably doesn't sound like a lot to y'all in New England and those of you up in Canada but Cincy is getting killed with tons of snow AND ice (its not stopped all day!) and that just makes things really bad overall for my city. I don't mind snow, our city can handle snow pretty well and it usually doesn't stick around very long anyway, but we've had a bunch of sleet and ice all night too which makes it that much worse when you have the snow on top of it. There are tons of cars that went off the major highways (I saw like six or seven just on my way home on the highway medians) and you can't go much more than about 20 mph on the highway. My normal time to get home from work is about twenty minutes. It took me almost TWO HOURS to get home from work today and I left around 5 PM so it wasn't even as bad as it is now when I was working on getting home. I am so thankful I had gpa's car too because mine would have killed me and sad to say, I am not even kidding. Yay Gpa's car that does awesome in bad weather (and yay for me bringing my Kelly CD to work today so I could listen to that while I worked on getting home tonight!). I am extremely thankful to my boss who worked hard to get Corporate to let us go home early. We rescheduled everything from this afternoon for next week and we all were able to leave between 4:30-5 PM. Now that I am home and safe, the snow is really pretty. I am happy we will have a white Christmas. =)

| Christmas Wish List =) |
|
| |
[mood] pensive [music] "Addicted" -Kelly Clarkson
I meant to do this over the weekend but then all my football dreams came true and I got sidetracked, LOL ;)
Step One
* Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
* If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
* Surf around your friends list (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
* If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
Christmas Wishes:
1) Skating icons-I have fifty bazillion of J&D and B&P but I am always up for more! I also wouldn't mind more of Ryan Jahnke, Michelle Kwan, Todd Eldredge, Steven Cousins (mmmmmm), Angela Nikodinov, Katie & Garrett, Tanith & Ben, Joannie Rochette, and Jeff Buttle among others. ;) a) Adding something to my icon wishlist, I would really like to have some icons for Alias, ER, Ty Pennington, Michael Vartan, some random cute saying ones, Clay Aiken, Kelly Clarkson, Point of Grace, and some of random sunsets. =)
2) I want my computer fixed. I can't even upload icons here at home (I have to save them to disk and take them to work right now) and its really getting on my nerves that I can't upload my Cleveland or Montreal pics at Imagestation because of the ghetto browser. =(
3) I am always up for new skating tapes. Some random things on my current wish list are Skate Canada 2004 CTV coverage, CSOI that recently aired from last season, HFOI 04 when it airs on CBC & whatever random US station & SRC, the World Team Challenge-Canadian coverage and US coverage, any old Bella & Pat footage that I don't have yet, and any old Ryan Jahnke footage I don't have yet.
4) This is really random but a while back, there were some long compilation tapes that cronicled J&D's entire amateur career (it was like a set of four or something) that I was trying desperately to get. I was on like three waiting lists for those stupid tapes and I never got them. I would LOVE to finally get those tapes. =(
5) I would really like to meet Michelle Kwan at US Nats this year. I was hoping so much for this last year and it didn't happen so I am hopeful that this is my year to meet her. *fingers crossed* =0 I would also like to actually meet J&D and Todd this year (and have conversations) but I am such a peon in the world that I can't see that ever happening. I think I've had my shots and I'll have to live with that.
6) I am currently having troubles figuring out how to even PAY for US Nats so any help with that would be stellar. Make checks out to 'Hez's US Nats Fund', LOL ;)
7) I love anything Snoopy related but I do have a lot of random things all ready so PM me if you find something you think I might not have yet. I also love college football (OSU!!), the Reds, the Bengals, and anything Canada related all of which is not a surprise to anyone who reads my entries on an even remote regular basis. ;)
8) I would like a new car but at this point, I would settle for being able to get into my car by the driver side and actually open up that door from the outside. Currently, you have to unlock and open the passenger side door, crawl over to the driver's side and open the door, and then go back around to get into my car. Yeah, you can imagine how much fun that's been for me. *rolleyes* =( My car also has a leak somewhere in the oil area or the coolant area so I would like to get that fixed too. I really am not fond of my car anymore!
9) I would like to have more comments here when I post something. I miss hearing from you guys. I know we are all busy but I try hard to comment as much as possible and it would be really nice to hear back from more people.
10) I would like to have more friends in Cincy. Its a bit more lonely here than its ever been before and I am not dealing well with that. Church has helped a bit with some new folks there but overall, its pretty lonely here these days.
Wow, that was kinda depressing. I didn't mean for it to be!! Sorry guys. Oh well. Tomorrow night is my work Christmas party so that should be fun. Open bar, country theme, blue jeans and line dancing, you gotta love it. If they don't have Smirnoffs though, the whole idea of an open bar will not do anything for me. Bah. Hopefully they have some there though. At any rate, it should be fun. Never mind that every one of my office coworkers is bringing a spouse/sig other and I am the ONLY one who isn't bringing anyone. Hopefully they don't leave me out! =(
Bye for Now, Hez =)
P.S. I need to go back and look at your guys wishlists. I am pretty sure I can make some things happen and since I adore giving more than receiving at Christmastime, I guess I gotta get busy working on that. ;

| To Shop or Not to Shop, That is the Question.... |
|
| |
[mood] tired [music] "The Prayer" -Celine and Andrea Bocelli =)
And I chose NOT to shop in the wee early morning hours today. I was actually successful in staying up til 6 AM though (yeah, big surprise to anyone who knows me, LOL) and was thinking about going with mom to the stores. If she had gone closer to like 5:30 AM, I would have been ready to go but she wasn't ready to go then and by 6 AM, I felt like total crap from being up so late and I just wanted to go to sleep. She let me off the hook with the shopping for which I am SO thankful because I think I would have made myself sick. =( So after she left, I turned off the tape I had been watching (BTW-old skool J&D is FABULOUS at 5 AM, LOL) and went to sleep......with my light on! I forgot to turn it off when I started watching the tape because at the time, I was trying to stay awake. After I decided I didn't want to shop, I also felt too lazy to get up off my comfortable bed to go turn my light off. So I slept with it on from 6 AM til about noon. That was not my best sleep ever though; I kept waking up randomly. I caught part of the Macy's parade on TV believe it or not. So after a not so restful sleep that wasn't even really at night, I have been dragging all day today. We went to my cousin's for Thanksgiving and it wasn't too bad at all. I like her and her boyfriend David's house. Its kinda old and has these big windows and the rooms are all painted random colors. Its like Skittles! LOL ;) Anyway, it was really nice to have a change of pace since mom and I have been having T-giving since grandma passed away five years ago. And we had enough food to feed about half of greater Cincy and it was all stellar. Green bean casserole......mmmmm. ;) I bonded a bit with my uncles and my cousins over the football game (Denver got whipped by Dallas 21-7 but honestly, both teams sucked pretty much the whole game! LOL) and my grandpa was as cranky as ever. He doesn't like to travel anywhere but then, wonders why he never does anything. Yeah, good oen grandpa, LOL ;) But we had a nice day and I am glad we went over there. It meant I didn't have to clean our house this year, LOL =)
I still have lots of random crap and emo going around in my head and maybe this weekend, I will actually emote all of it out so it doesn't just keep sitting there eating me alive. I just haven't felt like dealing with the ghetto computer possibly losing the entire entry, AGAIN. Grrr. That annoyed me last night. Maybe I will feel like rambling later this weekend. Not much else going on since we possibly won't be able to get tix to that game and its supposed to rain anyway all day Saturday. I don't know. All I do know is that I have to work tomorrow and its going to SUCK all day. I am not looking foward to it at all. And then I have to work Saturday too. Gee, golly, how did *I* get so lucky!?!? *rolleyes* =(

[mood] blank [music] The news is on TV
I love my day off. I slept until about 10:20 AM (I had a meeting at 10:45 AM that I ended up being late for, LOL) which was okay except that I went to bed around 4 AM!! I got to chatting for a while with Jules, Mel, and Brenda and eventually, after my computer went totally ghetto and kept bombing me out of the chat, I just chatted with Mel on AIM til we were both half asleep. Good times though. And my post count at the O&L Forum has gone up too! I'm sure Brenda is having a proud mom moment for that one, LOL ;)
I didn't really do much of anything today though. I did the dishes (geesh, we had tons here which is crazy since I don't even use many during the first part of the week!), took out the trash, thought about doing laundry (which I never got around to doing), got on the computer for a while and made some icons, and eventually met up with mom for dinner when her meeting got cancelled. I saw my friend Lindsey (the optician that left my office and went somewhere else) and we talked for quite a bit while we were waiting for our tables. I am glad I got to see her. It was a good chat too where we basically bashed my office. That's always fun. ;) That's about all I've done today actually. My tummy has not been happy all day so that has not made it easy for me to get anything of value done. I do feel better now, sort of. I think I am PMSing which is not a good thing because I have lots going on this weekend. =(
Oh yeah, one other thing I did today was watch the rest of NHK which was stellar. Timmy is back!!! His program looked great and its only going to get better as the season goes on too. I am SOOO happy for him! And go figure, Mikey still can't do a triple axel. Forget the quad, he needs to go back and relearn how to do those axels if he wants to do well internationally again. Johnny....sigh....he was fab. And I want to go shopping with him so badly. ;) I kept thinking back to Nats when we were sitting right in front of his family during the mens LP and how cute they all were after the medal ceremony!! *tender* =) His program looked so much better than at Campbell's and he sure knows how to work CoP too. My bold prediction for the podium at Nats if they all skate great.....Timmy, Ryan, and Johnny in some type of order. CoP really likes these guys for various reasons so the judges are going to be on that wavelength in Portland thinking up to Worlds. And I hope it works out that way too! WOO HOO!!! =) Pairs didn't do much for me although I liked Rena & John's program. They did a pretty great job overall too. Their throws don't scare me as much anymore! It should be a great competition at Nats. At least, I hope so....at this point, I just want it to NOT be a splatfest again. *rolleyes* I FFed through the Dance because it didn't interest me and they chacked Melissa & Denis (GRRRR). I had watched the Ladies all ready and the only comment I have for them is Shizza needs a new costume because hers is really not working for me. =0
I have a few new icons I will be uploading at work tomorrow. They are stellar. I hope to get either my Montreal or my Cleveland pics online tomorrow because I can save them to some disks and take them to work. I also have my pics from the Bush rally that I will be putting online at some point too, if I have time at lunch. That hour goes by fast!! LOL ;) One of the pics is hilarious. Its like "Where's Waldo" with George and Laura!!! Good times. I got some cute ones of me, my friend Christy, and our other friend Jen too which I have all ready iconized and will be uploaded tomorrow as well. I've been a creative busy beaver tonight!! ;)
ER was much better tonight. Last week was way weird but maybe I need to pay more attention to it when its on TV. This week was more like the way ER is all the time. This show is SOOO great again and I love it. =)
Ice Wars was tonight. Sounds like a great skating competition (no spoilers from me tonight either) and should be great to see on TV. I think it airs the first weekend of December but don't quote me on that one. I just want to see Kristi, Yuka, Kurt, and Todd's new programs at this point. If you want spoilers, check out the Alexei board or at FSU and they have them there. I am not in the mood to try to post links. And my computer may revolt and eat me so I am going to be nice to it tonight *is scared* =0
Hmmm, I've got nothing else of value to write about tonight so I am going to go. I will talk to you all later and I hope you have a great weekend. =)
Love, Hez =)

Reminder to Mel: You said for me to remind you and that you would make a copy of the Savage Garden CD for me so here is your reminder! You rock my socks too by the way. You wouldn't by chance have their first one too would you?! Care to make a desperate SG fan a copy of that one too?!?! THANK YOU in advance!!!!!!! *HUGS* =)
Work Ramblings: Sigh.....I am off work tomorrow. I NEED that so badly. I feel like I've not really had much time off working with adding those hours to my schedule. Last week was just weird with how many hours I worked (and the days I worked too) but this week has just been crazy busy. We scheduled 34 appts on Monday, 13 yesterday (Doc said we were slacking after our Monday numbers, LOL), and 24 more today all for random times in November. That is insane!! But you know, if it helps us hit our goals for the month so we can get extra moolah, then I am all for wearing myself out for the cause. It just makes doing all my other work that much harder. And I keep getting these looks from Stephanie because I am not helping her with the recalls but hi, I have like SIX other main huge tasks that have to get done each day before I can work on those and I am barely getting that done this week. She is going to have to just chill out and deal with it. She's not my boss and my ACTUAL boss knows what I need to be doing and is fine with that because if I don't do the insurance stuff for our current appts, then we don't get paid and that would suck a muffin. So, I will keep doing what I need to be doing and she will just have to take a chill pill. Ugh, today I had this random guy come in with some glasses questions and let's just say English wasn't his strong suit so I was there trying to understand what he was asking and I had THREE appts come in for their scheduled times and I couldn't get away from the foreign guy because NO ONE was up at the front desk area at all. I kept telling him I wanted to go get someone else to help him out but he wouldn't leave me alone. I was almost in tears trying to figure out how to get him away from me so I could help the other patients there. And its not that he wasn't a nice guy or anything, I just couldn't understand him at all and I got frustrated with myself. We finally got it all taken care of but geesh, that was like pulling teeth. And I am not used to being frustrated at work this much because the work was split up between H2 and me for so long. Now though, I am checking people in, checking them out, answering the phones, dealing with the walk ins, and trying to do my insurance verifications, glasses & contact lenses calls for pick ups, and daily reminder calls for upcoming appts all at the same time EVERY DAY. Stephanie is like a bump on a log and doesn't do much of anything besides pretesting and recalls and SHE complains about doing too much?! Give me a break. *rolleyes* Bah, enough work ranting, I could go on all day.
Skating News: Angela is skating in China this week so EVERYONE wish good vibes to her for another great competition!! *sends good vibes to China* =) Gosh, I would be SOOOOOOOO jazzed if she made the GPF!! How awesome would that be?! She is such an inspiration and I am SOOO hoping that she has a great Nats this year and makes that podium again. I also hope I get the nerve up to talk to her this time around when I am in Portland. I was such a chicken in Atlanta last year. Why? I have no idea. Eek, Katie might get mad at me if I don't go talk to her and Garrett this year too, LOL ;) I guess I am a bit bolder than I used to be (Woo hoo for random skater meetings the last year and a half!!) so this Nats will be better with me getting some fun pics and talking to them a little bit more. Yeah, who goes up to Ryan Jahnke and gets his autograph but FORGETS TO GET A PICTURE WITH HIM?!?!?! Me. Hez the Power Tool. Duh. *faints* What a missed opportunity. Not this year! I will have to post my Mission Portland list sometime here. Maybe later in December. ;)
I think I am going to put my Cleveland pictures in sometime this weekend so I should have them back early next week. Maybe on Friday. I can't wait to see those!! Steven......mmmmmm. ;) Those should be a trip. Actually, more pressing for me right now is how I am going to get to my meeting in Milford tomorrow night when I barely have enough gas to get myself to the gas station tomorrow. Not to mention that I don't get paid til Friday and I have like NO money for the much needed gas. This could be interesting. Time to bust out the stockpile of quarters, LOL ;)
Amused and Tired, Hez =)

[mood] hyper [music] "Umbrellas of Cherbourg" =)
I thought today would never end at work. Ugh, sometimes Fridays are the longest days ever. TOG just being there was getting on my nerves because he kept trying to talk to me while I was working. Um hi, I'm working now, can you come back later?! Ugh. That was annoying. BUT, work is done for the week, I should have a rocking paycheck a week from today (woo hoo overtime!), and tomorrow at this time I will probably be out causing some mischief with Chele, Brenda, and Sera. All is well again. =)
There are new icons from me posted in my last entry and if you haven't seen them yet, go look at them now because I asked you to nicely and because we are so adorable in them. =)
I was very productive tonight after I got home from work. I did my laundry (which is helpful with packing because my jeans were all dirty and who wants to wear dirty clothes all weekend?!), I did the dishes, I ate dinner, I taped something on TV for my mom, I FINISHED THE BELLA & PAT TAPE (Which made me really happy because Volume 4 is now well on its way for this season! And you can never watch too much Leyenda either, LOL ;)), and I also got all the church stuff done for Sunday. I feel all content that things are in good hands for the weekend. Its not like I am going to be gone forever and a day either, LOL ;)
Um, yeah, so I've got nothing else to update about so I am going to go. I will be back Sunday, probably with lots of random Cleveland stories!! My first task for this weekend is to actually FIND the hotel because my computer was being SO tooly that the only place I could get directions from I-71 was a random hotel search website that had some there. It shouldn't be hard though. I am excited and I can't wait to see Chele and Brenda again. YAY!!!!!!! =)
Ready to Roll, Hez =)
P.S. I've decided I don't really care when mom finds out I was in Cleveland and not Athens because its not like I am going off to blow up something or to rob a bank. I am just hanging out with friends for the weekend and seeing a great skating show. Eventually, she will find out about this weekend, I'll probably tell her at some point before Christmas, but for now, I am just going to go with the flow and have fun.
P.P.S. I LOVE that the Detroit SOI show is now set! Let the reunion planning and partying begin again!!! WOO HOO!!!! =)

Fun Fact Hats ON....
Floppy disks can hold over 30 icons on them!!! =)
Fun Fact Hats OFF ;)
Yeah, so the ghetto computer is slowly going floopy on me and I can't upload any new icons here for some reason. So, being the icon loving crazy girl that I am, I saved them all to a floppy disk and I am going to use my lunch hour at work tomorrow to upload them here. I made quite a few from Montreal, a few from Bella & Pat's SC pics, and I had a few older ones made about a week or so ago that just haven't gotten uploaded yet due to the tooly computer. Don't worry, you'll see them all at some point because once I upload icons, I tend to use only those until I've used them all at least once. It works well for me. And I am SOOO pumped to use the Barbie Girl one I made for Bella & Pat! Hehehee ;)
Work was work. I was SOOO confused on what day it was this morning and my body did NOT want to get up at all. I am way too used to my other schedule and this week is just wiping me out. I am all ready pushing like 37-38 hours of work for the week and have another full day tomorrow. Its exhausting being the only one at the front desk. Stephanie was better today though so that's good. We were randomly talking about underwear this afternoon and it was seriously the funniest conversation ever! I am laughing just thinking about it! And yeah, you all might not get it but hey, if you are interested in what was so funny, let me know, okay?! ;)
Its still freezing in Cincy and I still want to go somewhere warm. Too bad Cleveland is my future destination and its even colder up there!! Even with the cold though I am excited for this weekend. I am borrowing g-pa's car (the white one I had in Detroit) so I am a lot more confident that I will get there safely than I would be if I was taking Big Bertha up to Cleveland. I even have film ready to go for this weekend because I bought some back when I picked up my Montreal pics. And just for the record, I have pulled something over on my mother that I have NEVER done before....she does not know I am going to Cleveland this weekend. She thinks I am going to my sorority weekend at Ohio University which I had planned on going to anyway until I planned out Cleveland without realizing the weekends conflicted schedule wise. I just wasn't sure how she would react to me taking in another skating show this fall when I was reasonably confident that Montreal was all I could pull off this fall. I will have the money though after all (yay for extra work hours this week even though they are killing me, LOL) so I don't think its a huge deal. I guess I am chicken to tell her though. Hey, as long as she gets paid for things, she is not that big on how I spend any extra money I happen to have from time to time. I am feeling bad though that I am keeping her in the dark. If you are reading this journal and you think you might have any contact with my mother, PLEASE don't say anything to her! I would rather talk to her....after I get home. Eek....am I a horrible person for not telling her right now?! I don't know. I guess I am having a bit of a moral dilemma wiht this even though I don't feel like I am doing this horrible thing to her. Hmmmm.
OK, I need to get to bed now. I've not slept nearly long enough each night this week (and I am sure feeling it!) so I should at least attempt to get some good rest tonight. I KNOW I will be getting some good sleep tomorrow night because I have to get up and drive four hours by myself on Saturday!! That can be long and its not like we will sleep much Saturday night either. ;) Good thing I have good music for the car ride. Leyenda on repeat anyone?!?! LOL ;)
Good Night, Hez =)
